Replacement blinds or shades

Looking to replace the blinds and shades in the RV but it seems that they are really odd sizes. Where is a good place that has cheap blinds in these weird sizes that won't cost a fortune?

I think for the most part, the width is ok but it's the length. Most blinds are long.

You can shorten them yourself, it's easy and they all come with directions on how to do so.

Yes they can be shorten. I have done this. Not hard at all.
  • I agree about the Home Depot mini-blind idea for affordability, but I would special order micro-mini blinds to the exact size you need. They are much thinner so they will fit in the provided space much better.

I have not gone shopping for blinds in a while, but last I looked nobody stocked micro-mini blinds. I wish the industry would bring back the micro-minis as a stock item because it's getting near time to replace the 27 year old micro-minis in our brick and mortar house. I bought ours from Builder's Square in 1989 for under $5 a blind. Because of the deal, I did have to cut them myself with my table saw which worked great. We love the look and fit of the micro-mini much more than the standard mini blinds.

This is true for the mini-blind type, which will be your cheapest and still acceptable bet. I actually like my mini-blinds better than the original cell type cause you can tilt them to keep out just the amount of sun you like. They can come with clips to keep them from swinging while you drive but are probably not as easy to raise up and down like the cell type with the end strings for when you want to open the glass behind it.

  • When I replace 3 of the junk pleated shades in living area of our MH. I looked at Home Depot and Lowes. They would not fit into the upper valance of the windows. At local RV show there a was a vendor selling Shades. Ordered 3 shades from him. They fit perfect. Only one hand is required to move shades up and down. Since we have outside awnings only ordered room darkening only. They can be ordered from Shade-Man Roller Shades. They are not as cheap as HD, Lowes and Menard's. But they fit.
  • Any width, any length, any color, 3 different levels of transparency, lots of other options....Home Depot.
  • We replaced 7 windows in our fifth wheel only two were the same size. These were special order soft fabric blinds a little over $800. Lowes
