replacing carpeting, Need advice.

I have a Damon Intruder., it has the raised slide.
Can the carpet be removed and replaced, without removing the slide, or access from outside.
Would like to hear from anyone that has had it done, or done it them self.

Thanks, Chuck

  • I too prefer carpet. It's softer and warmer on the feet than other floors to me. Mine was well worn and DW will not let me do anything out of my skill set so I just had it replaced by a PRO. The part under the slide seemed to be a minor thing. He even replaced the part under the dinette which is on the slide.
  • I have replaced carpet with laminate but never just the carpet. If you are handy and innovative it could be done. The hardest part is working under the slide. On mine, a 99 Winnebago chieftain, I found that I could tilt the slide and get under it.
  • I think carpet. I have the carpet, and it would be easier to find someone to do it.
I repaired a leak, and the carpet messed up.
