I would use the primary filter (the new one) as course filter AND water separator. Then secondary as fine filter only. No point in allowing water to get to the lift pump.
Other than that, it is fine. Primary can be anywhere between 10 and 30 micron.
Secondary must meet Cummins specs-- believe that is 5 micron, but please confirm.
