You ask a very good question and might have answered it too in that they may leak and we just don't read about them in the class C forum. But I do wonder if 5th wheels are less prone to leaks because of the frame required for that towing method. Regarding truck campers, maybe their independence from the top of the cab roof has something to do with it. Again, maybe they leak too. We just don't read about them here.
