Wow! A picture is worth a thousand words. My 2004 Minnie has the same cabover as yours. Here in SoCal, our MH gets very little rain on it. Have been thru major downpours in Yosemite and Death Valley, but that was a few years ago. I try to keep my caulking up and the weep holes clean. I had to replace the plastic insert on the edge molding last year and everything still seems OK. From your photos I say that edge molding was the failure point.
Just took a closer look at your photos and noticed you don't have the same top I have. I have the plastic end cap for my clearance lights and yours are set into the filon. I believe your lights being set like that have a tunnel thru the styrofoam to the edge rails for the wiring to pass thru. Have you every removed the metal edging?
