replacing the shower surround/pan

Hey, kids -

Has anyone here personally had any first-hand experience with replacing the surround and pan in an RV shower?

Our Fleetwood 26J is a fairly standard layout with the rear bed/bathroom arrangement. But the shower unit plastic is pretty old and yellowed and DW is really on me about this. From the outside, it doesn't look too terrible but ya never know. Any takers?

!!!!THANKS!!!!

  • Might be a challenge tofind the exact pan. How about a new shower mat? Or I have heard of servces that can repaint. Mine is not discolored but is severely lacking for under support and always has been.
  • Can it be replaced? Yes, but It is not the easiest thing to do and time consuming. Not to mention have you priced the replacement pan yet?

If the pan is not leaking and the drain is functioning I most certainly would NOT replace it simply because the plastic had yellowed.

It's not like it's the first thing your camping guests see when they walk in your RV.:R

If your DW really can not live with it. Paint it white with Krylon Fusion for Plastic. But I sure wouldn't. Just saying.
