Even though it's a two-way (LPG and 120VAC) or three-way (LPG, 120VAC and 12VDC) it still requires a charged Coach/House (as opposed to Chassis) battery to operate. We had an RM763 ("3" for three-way) and didn't use the 12VDC mode. All it takes is disconnecting one wire. That wire goes hot when the coach is running (probably the Accessory terminal of the Ignition Switch). I eventually removed all the 12VDC parts (the element, a plastic relay, and some wiring). Running on LPG on the road is OK, just shut fridge off to fill gasoline or LPG. If you don't open the fridge, it'll stay cold for a day's travel if it was cold when you head out.
