Road conditions

Can anyone provide me with information regarding the abilities of a 36' Class A with a tow vehicle traveling from Visalia,Ca. via Hwy 152 to Morgan Hill,Ca.? I just want to know if there would be any elevation or grades that would challenge my rig. Again this is Hwy 152 (Pacheco Pass) in Central California.
  • Can I drive? Maybe depends on your abilities asking here is like asking a weather man if it will rain.

Not too windy or narrow. Moderately steep downhill heading west.
  • It's a well used truck route. If challenge means it you can't maintain the 55 mph speed limit then it may be challenged.
  • As state you will be find. We have used Hi-way 550 Red Mountain in Colorado at 11500+ and you can drive that one too. As stated use your gears and slow down to the 45.
  • I use that route several times a year in my coach with a 8.1 gas engine. You'll do fine.

Word of caution...when headed west going down Pacheco pass keep your speed down to about 45mph, don't ride the brakes and drop your gears down to hold you back.

What Chassis and engine do you have?
