not strange at all. if the RV isn't insured by the company then why should they provide roadside service for it?

can't speak for any provider other than Good Sam ERS. I get a renewal notice in the mail at least a month in advance of the due date with the premium amount clearly stated.
as I mentioned in a previous post be wary of providers who will not locate and dispatch service to you and instead require you to find your own service providers and will then reimburse you days, weeks or longer after the fact. consider being in need of service on a holiday weekend in a remote area. it sure is nice to be able to make a single phone call to have help dispatched to you.
