It sounds like you have some work to do to get everything operating. I have a 1997 Xplorer 230XL. It has the Dometic RM2310 fridge which is great for boondocking. As it does not have any electric controls, when on propane it draws no power from the house battery. It's a shame they no longer make anything like that. Keep it operating.
I replaced the Magnatek converter with a pd4530 (I think that's the number). A much better converter worth every penny.
My house battery was a group 29 which last summer I replaced with 2 100AH lithium iron phosphate ones. They should be great for the $1400 spent but I developed health issues and have not been able to use my rv since.
