roadtrek the 3 small glass windows in roof

I am in the process of purchasing a 1994 roadtrek. I had a 1990
a few years ago and just loved it. I noticed the three small
light windows above the drivers and passengers seat does not have
a rod for a curtain. The roadtrek does not have roof air so will
need to cover this area with the window darkening material like I
did before but could someone please send me a picture of the rod
that was used and where it was connected in the van.
I don't want to drill unnecessary holes in this unit as it is very
nice
thanks
Ann

  • I have a 1996 190 Popular and it has a plastic channel screwed into the headliner and I don't know what is behind it to screw into. The plastic channel clips are fastened to the curtain which slide on the channel. I have seen some units with the Velcro tabs stuck on the headliner and also on the curtain, but then the curtain is removed not slid to the side when open. Velcro may be the way to go if you don't want to drill holes and risk damaging the unit or messing it up.
  • Mine has a plastic channel that the curtain slides in. It is 1 piece for the whole width. Don't you have a Fedders AC over the rear bed? All of my windows have a similar system for closing the curtains.
  • My 2008 Roadtrek has Plastic covers that have twist hooks to hold them in place. My previous Roadtrek had the same system.
  • I have a 1989 XPLORER but the two small
light windows above the drivers and passengers seat in mine has the curtains Velcro'd on. I think the factory did this but not 100% sure.
