My Holiday Rambler has an aluminum roof. It appears to be two sheets with a seam down the center of the coach. I can't be sure, but I don't think there is a mechanical seam in the center, just a wide tape joint that lays very flat.
It has held up well, including resisting a heavy limb impact.
