RV FOR DOCTORS

I do not do Facebook but a group has been formed that will allow you to loan your RV to medical workers that needs to be separated from their family. The medical worker lives in the RV on the family’s lot. This way they can visit with their family from a distance. This was on CBS NEWS THIS AM.
  • It called 'RVs for MDs'

RV owners are matched with Medical Personnel to donate use of their RV

Haven't seen any mention of how RV is cleaned/sanitized AFTERWARDS
  • I guess I'm confused. I'm told to wash my hands for 20 seconds, cough into my elbow, wear a mask and I'm not a threat. Medical personnel can put on gloves, scrubs, masks and even face shields. With all that and maybe a shower after work are they still a threat to their families when they get home? Aren't they better able to protect themselves from the virus than cops and firemen who don't have RV's to live in?
  • Here in the Clovis and Fresno California area you are now allowed to park an RV on the street for people who work in essential jobs to live in and isolate themselves from their family....HOA's included.

I bet that's driving the HOA fanatics crazy. :)
  • I am sure you could limit the use your RV to policeman, EMTs and firemen.

  • A good idea at first glance.

BUT, where and by whom are tanks going to be dumped? And if it is whomever is living in it, are they qualified and licensed to drive the RV to do so?
    Insurance?

Is it reasonable to trust someone plugged into a LONG extension cord from a 15 amp house outlet at their house to manage power or will they burn up the roof air?

Certainly there would be circumstances where this would work, but doubt that would be the norm.
  • Since I started this with a severe lack of information I offer the following. In the CBS news piece the RV owners were delivering the RVs in person and sitting it it up. No discussion of dumping or complete hook ups.

As I stated I do not do FACE Book as my son who is in IT tells me it is one of the most insidious site for gathering personal information even with it turned off.

So with that said, I suggest someone that uses Face Book check the site us and give what information it has. I understand the Face Book site was started by a RV owner.

I did look it up but Face Book required I join Face Book to see anything. I would have thought that as a public service Face Book would have foregone there usual required joining.

  • I would strongly suggest anyone considering this consult their insurance company first to see if your policy includes coverage when loaned to a non-family member. Most won't (not even comprehensive coverage such as for fire, theft, or weather-related damage).
  • This is some kind of nonsense. Gloves, gowns, masks, and even face shields may be used by medical personnel. They still represent a threat to their families when they get home, despite all of this and maybe bathing after work. Since the coronavirus pandemic swept the world, many people have faced financial difficulties and still cannot figure out how to improve their financial situation. I was one of them too. The only thing that helped me was quick faxless payday loans canada. I also found a lot of information from them on how you can improve your financial situation during the coronavirus.
  • You do know that this is over 2 years old when first posted? Things have changed since then.
