RV friendly Walmarts around Salt Lake City?

This is what I use to find the Local Wal*Mart's Wal*Mart Map of Utah

We usually stay out in Park City or Jordanelle Lake State Park and drive in to the city, so I have no personal with the local SLC Wal*Marts.

We love the town and the people, such a great area.

Just go to the KOA in SLC. They have a free shuttle that will take you downtown to Temple Square and bring you back.

I'll second that. But call ahead to the KOA as in my visit, a convention was in town and KOA was full. In my case, they fit my little class C on a 'tent site' and all was well.

The Temple Square shuttle was operated by the Mormons and was great, on schedule to and from. :C

There is a huge lot on the west side of the tabernacle, if you only want to park and walk around the grounds you can park there for a few hours (4 I think)

As far as WalMark, I don't know. Sorry about that.

there is only one wally world that allows over night camping and that is on S 900 E st the one on Hope street does not.

There is no where to camp within walking distance. The street parking is limited and parking structures have low clearances.

AS SAID THE KOA..............

The KOA is within walking distance....depending on what you call walking distance.

The light rail goes right by the campground.

Can't imagine trying to park an RV anywhere in reasonable walking distance from there.

Check out the Yahoo's Group: Walmartrving. Cost nothing but you need to register for access. Has files for all the Walmarts that allow overnight parking, and is regularly updated.

But remember, you still have to ask a member of Walmart management for permission to park in their lot, and ask where they want you to park. Some want you on the side and others want you way out front. Some will tell you, "by the gas station", and others "by the restaurant". If you don't ask permission, you might find yourself being woke up in the middle of the night and asked to move on.

We stayed at the Sam's Club in town, but I don't recall the address.
