RV Resorts in the Phoenix area

I am interested in the Sunflower RV Resort and Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort in the Phoenix area and am interested in any feedback - good or bad. We are planning a trip down in May to scope out the parks to become snowbirds soon. Thanks.

  • We stayed at Sunflower last year for two weeks. Very nice, lots of activities.. I fully agree on using rvparkreviews.com. This year we are staying at Leaf Verde in Buckeye, much lower cost, but I am sure they are not quite as fancy as Sunflower is. Its all about the budget.
  • There is a lot of resort type places in the Mesa area. We've stayed the last three winters at the Val Vista Villages near the 60 freeway / Val Vista.
  • If you can, plan to spend a couple days in Jan-March checking out the parks. Their 'snowbird' activities will be in full force and will give you a better idea of the parks. Looking them over in May you won't find many people or many activities going on. The atmosphere won't be the same.

In May, the temperature will be already around 105 degrees in Phoenix.

When I am in that area I usually stay at Fort Mcdowell at the Eagle View RV Resort.

Across the highway is also the Indian Casino.

It was real nice and clean. Lot of spaces

  • This is a great site to see what others think of different campgrounds.
