I did, if you'll see my earlier post. Funny thing is, I too prefer to just use water, and the Bruni method to clean things out, but, my wife likes to put in chemicals. She has a better nose than me. Mine's bigger, but, hers works better.

I did also recommend Happy Camper if someone felt they simply must put something in their tank. It works very well. I use it in my grey tank every now and then as well. If I dry camp for a couple of weeks at a time I will be using much less water than normal and I usually add some Happy Camper.

To the op...I actually prefer the granular packages like Thetford Aqua-Kem with liquid second and the packages I didn't care for.Most all of my camping is boondocking and water is an issue.

I haven't tried the RV Rid-X yet.

Just because a poster asked a question with an answer not in the OP does not mean that it should not be addressed. The OP might just assume that "something" must be used. No reason that someone should not let him know that chemicals are not required.

the original poster assumes correctly in my world. A good chemical should be used and although not always required its a good method to follow. Because u feel water is the only solution required and works for you does not mean everyone should follow your methods. Quit often different circumstances will require different methods. So water works for you that's fine. Chemicals work better for me and that's the way it goes
