I had to buy one of these while wintering in Yuma our first year, I made the mistake of leaving the area before the black tank was done draining and I forgot to close the valve so I had a lot of blockage to clear out and this tool did the trick. I never leave home now without it. if you have a build up and it is causing blockage use the tool and really clean out the black tank
