RV Toilete paper
How many of you are using anything other than "RV" toilet paper. I'm sick of paying $5.00 for the RV stuff that has lousy tear strength and fall apart in your hands. I think we're being ripped off.

- We use Scott's single ply. It's cheap and available at most grocery stores.
- We use Charmin two ply and it works great. If your black tank with a four inch dump valve can not dump any kind of toilet paper you use, there is something wrong with your plumbing on your coach. OR some of you are not using plenty of flush water. Use at least a gallon of water every flush.
I also use Happy Camper which breaks up all solids and tissue. So when I dump it is mostly water. dfm wrote:

- Do not be thrifty on the water your flush when using the TP and you will be in safe shape on your dump download.. Being thrifty on you H2O and you cause a dam in your tank.Happy clean RVing.

I was bored one night and tried this. We generally use Scott paper at home and had sone rv paper (forget which brand). The Scott disappeared much faster than the more expensive rv paper and it is much cheaper.TropicalRV wrote:

Yup- FitRV did a reasonably sound test, that you can also do at home to test your brand of choice to see how well it breaks down.

BTW we use the Costco brand at home, it is cheap and soft. It also did quite well in this test so we use it at home and in the trailer. - Used a few rolls of RV TP back in the 60s. Have used plain TP since. Have never noticed a problems. Use lots of water when you flush.
