We've never been questioned about use of W/D in RV parks. It probably is true you can do your laundry in 1 1/2 hour in public laundry. Not sure it includes carrying to and from and waiting in line to use dirty washers. I'm a guy. I didn't have a clue until I went with my DW to the laundramat. My clothes go into those machines? Sorry, not for me. Also keep in mind a stacked vented unit cannot be compared to a combo unit or unvented units.
We put our clothes into our washer or dryer and take off and leave. No wasted time and at about $40 to $50 a month for a laundramat doesn't take long to pay for a W/D.
