RVIA Pomona too expensive

profit is not a nasty word,america would not exist as we know it without it.
the fairplex is not cheap to rent and who ever promotes this event has a huge expense with rent,staff,advertising and insurance. if it doesn't make a return on investment it would not be there so somebody must like and enjoy it

And the shows I've visited 3-4 times over the years didn't convince me that they were giving much of a discount, if any.

They should be totally free. Even the parking. And ask yourself, have you ever seen a poor RV dealers home? Usually they are mansions.

But, personally, I'll never go to a RV show that charges admission...and as I said before, JMO!

Guess you made a bad career decision. You should have been an RV dealer and you too could have a mansion. And apparently you aren't too quick on the take up either. You visited the shows 3 or 4 times before you decided it was a giant commercial and they don't give away RVs at them, all the time paying what you feel is an unfair admission price? Apparently the rich do get richer and the poor do get poorer. Or as the quote attributed to PT Barnum goes: "There's a sucker born every minute.

I made excellent career decisions. I did what I loved my entire work life.

The 3-4 RV shows I did visit over the years were either free to begin with, or I picked up free tickets from give away specials. My impression was that paying for one would be stupid.

Why should I know about RV shows in Los Angeles? I've never been to an RV show that was free that was at a venue such as a Fairgrounds. So I guess if you guys don't like paying admission then don't go. Doesn't that solve your problem?

being in central Calif. you should know how many RV dealers are in the Los Angeles basin and they regularly have pretty sizable shows at places like the Rose. Bowl for free. Granted this one is much bigger, but it's absolutely not a requirement, there's too much competition around here. And even tho it's a manufacturers show, the product still comes for the most part from the same dealers that run the free shows

I'll never pay to be inside a giant RV 'commercial' because that's all those shows are. I respect my peers opinions on RV values far more than any rep, from the dealer or the factory.

They should pay ME to go to their shows, not the other way around.

But, that's JMO.
