TenOC, thanks for sharing the update. Coming from a family of LEO's, it is tough to hear when such a young guy gets killed. I just know in my heart that the RV driver did the best he could to stop.... I think we all would.
I had a businessman's conference in South Carolina and decided to take my car instead of flying.... nice drive. Anyway, what the RV driver described happened to me today in Alabama.
I was driving along a three lane interstate when a flashing sign stated "right lane closed".... so, the traffic started moving left. But, just soon after the right lane started to make your move over with the barrels lined up, the Alabama DOT people were moving them to close off the center lane too!
I was thinking, what are they thinking by not letting the traffic know that the center lane is closing too? These ADOT guys where an accident waiting to happen. I can understand the OP's situation. It's an awful position to be in as nobody wins.
