Just to update, after quite a long time of searching, we ended up with a 1997 Monaco Signature Series (formerly the crown royale) and we love it. We bought it mid June and have been out in it several times already.

Planning to move in full time, June of 2016.

Great, now I'm jonesing over the BEAVERS!! Man, there are some very nice, older
coaches out there. How in the world am I supposed to make a final decision? The
Beavers, which are hard to find shorter than 40' (I really don't want to go 40!) have
that HOLY SWEET PANEL above the driver with all those lights and switches... drool.

Well over the weekend (we're still searching for that right step up) the wife decided
we could scratch the Safari off the list. She said they just don't blow her skirt up.
So we've come to an agreement and a joint decision that we're going with the Monaco.
Preferably the Crown Royale. They're the right length, they have the right
amenities and they pretty much tick all the right boxes. They're not too terribly
easy to find, but luckily, we don't have to hurry.

Nice looking Executive. Looks very similar to the 1991 Beaver Contessa that was my wife and I's first diesel pusher. We loved the coach. We had it for seven years and it had 129k miles on the odometer when we sold it in 2007.

My only real two issues were the 3208 CAT was a little underpowered for that heavy of a coach and it had the MT654 Allison transmission, which was a four-speed. Had it had the six-speed I think it would have been geared much more favorable for the 300 hp engine.

I really liked the body style and got a lot of compliments on it whenever we traveled. We even towed a 24' enclosed trailer behind ours which I had painted to match.

Well, I just found out the tires on that coach are probably nearing 10 years old.
I was going to offer $16,500 on it but now that it will need about $3000 in tires,
even though it has been garage kept, I think I'm going to have to pass on it. That's
kind of heart breaking. It also has an LP generator which turns me off a bit. Sad.

A couple of days closer to the Monaco. I'm starting to really itch now. Seems the
neighbors that live across the street from us are wanting to possibly buy the Dolphin
from us which would be fantastic. I'd love for them to get the bug!

Well so far, all of the RVs I have owned, from popups to 5th wheels to motor coaches... they are all money pits! hahaha. Seems like I'm always spending money in one way or another. Luckily, I've been able to do 90% of the work myself. :)
