Safety and security

Hello everyone, I am looking for info and advice. I have a class a motorhome with 2 slides. When I’m on the road and stop for the night at say truck stop, parking lot or rest area. Am I the only one that has trouble sleeping because I’m not sure what’s going on around my motorhome? I was wondering if there was a low profile or should I say a stream lines camera that blends into the motorhome like the driving cameras. That are wireless WiFi and has motion activated night vision that will alert me and film what’s going on outside. Plus also if my wife or I hear something we can view outside and around the motorhome. You hear of crazy people and crazy things happening all the time. Plus at night if I stop and stay in a parking lot I’m not sure what type of neighborhood it is..I don’t want to put those house cameras hanging off the corners. any help and info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • Look at Ring products. WiFi enabled, motion activated, notifies you via smart phone, records to the cloud, lets you see and speak to whatever activated the device.

Or you could also get motion detected lights that are really bright so if someone comes up, the light comes on which in most cases will make them go away.
  • Im interested in the very same thing. I do use a couple black flash trail cams which are in a metal box that can be chained to a tree or and the RV or tow vehicle.
  • I think the obvious advice is to not stay in those places. They are noisy and probably the most dangerous places to be.

If you do a lot of free overnighting, I suggest joining Escapees and subscribe to 'Days End', an extensive listing of cheap or free places that are more comfortable than what you're doing. The listings are provided by people like me, and are constantly updated to be a reliable database with no ads. I think it's a whopping $10/year.
