IMHO, a good salesperson should just point out the features of a rig and help you decide what's important to you. If the salesperson is being so one sided, I tend to think it is to benefit his pocketbook!! Do your homework, get a different salesperson and/or shop elsewhere. In my experience, if you do your homework and research, you will end up knowing more about what you are looking at than the salesperson.
We looked at both class C and A rigs. For us, the class A was a better choice but there are some really nice class C rigs out there and if the driver/passenger seats rotate 180 degrees and you get auto levelers, you're very close to having a class A with other advantages such as easier access to engine for service and possible better handling on the road without aftermarket accessories needed.
I would suggest comparing storage compartments (exterior) and towing specs if you plan to buy a larger class C and tow a car or motorcycles on a trailer. We tend to take some longer trips and found our class A has more storage space. But...determine what will work for you!
