It really makes no sense for government agencies to try to save the Salton Sea. It was created by accident from a flood on the Colorado River when it over flowed its banks. There is little inflow into the terminal lake in a place where water is valuable and already over allocated by law. Whose water rights are you going to buy to maintain it? It is doomed and has been for decades.
