We have directv. We loose the signal maybe three times a year for a relatively short time. We live in an area when the satillite signal is blocked when a really bad thunderstorm occurs where the antenna is pointed. That area has the most lightening strikes and the most rainfall in the state so is unusual in that regard. Signal lose happens but is so unusual and so infrequent it is not a consideration for us. Cost and customer service is more imoortant. The other thing is that direct may only support high definition in your house and I doubt you RV antenna will support anything other than standard difinition. Dish may have to be the option. There are ways to do anything-just a matter of cost, but check all the variables.
