Schwintek Slides, are these new on the market ?

Only as of recent I have heard about these slides, also have heard of only bad issues with these slides, issues on TT, FW and Motorhomes, maybe one should avoid these slides till they can be made bett...

DRV Suites had numerous problems with many of the Schwintek slides in 2012-2013. So all 2014's and up will have a cable system. Not sure of the mfg or name though.
