I used a 1 1/2 inch square tube. Drilled appropriate holes and put it between the seat and the mount. Works great, gives both me and my wife the elevation to see out nicely and she can still reach the peddles. I also took the opportunity to move the seat back about 1 1/2 inches as I wanted a little more leg room and it makes it easier to get from the drivers seat to the rear of the motorhome while still having enough forward movement so that wife can reach the peddles.
