Photos are very important to me. You cant have too many. Do you ever notice the goofballs who have their underwear hanging on the kitchen chair and stuff laying all over the place? What the heck are they thinking? Get good quality pictures of as many areas as possible.
The thing that killed me when shopping used was the lack of important specs for the rv. Very few people put the weight in the ad, so now I have to go search the web to get an idea of the weight. As far as TT and 5er's that's the number one thing.
I have bought and sold tons of stuff on Craigslist. I would guess you wont get much for it on ebay but I may be wrong. I tried RV trader one time and got zero calls. It wasn't the price as it sold in that range on CL.
Clean it up real good. Disclose anything and everything you know is wrong. Keep it insured so it can be driven. You drive and take them out in it. You may let someone drive it while you ride along but use your judgement on that. Again, insurance, and even contact your agent about that issue.
Money? As far as getting paid for a high dollar item I would be careful of having cash in my house and people know about it. Too many crack heads and meth freaks now days. I paid by check to a private owner for my last rv. I had asked these older then me people how they wanted to be paid and she said cash. I said really, you dont know me or anyone else who would come here to buy this so why dont I just give you a check, the rig will be locked in your barn, you will still have the title, I will put my own insurance on it tomorrow and when the check clears and your bank says it's ok, I'll come and get it. They thought that was best too. Meet at a bank etc and find out what form of payment they have. I will probably use the wrong wording but some types of cashiers checks can actually be bad. Check into it as I can't explain. Ask your bank.
Just be realistic about the rv. It is what it is, if it's sweet hold your ground and find the right buyer, if it sucks, just face it and take the hit and move on. Nothing ticks me off more than some fool saying how prefect it is and when we walk into it the ceiling is hanging in our faces.
