Ah yes! the family heirlooms....funny how what WE consider valuable, our KIDS think is mostly junk!...:B
When we decided to go full time, we had an 'estate' sale but we hadn't quite died yet. Each of the kids had full access to everything in the house...come put a sticky note on whatever you wanted. Had a couple big garage sales with really super prices...most everything else went to Goodwill or Salvation Army. Loved those deductions...IRS lists it as a suit...didn't matter that it was made of polyester...:B......the family heirlooms and stuff we couldn't bring ourselves to throw away?..:h:
As part of our EXIT plan, we bought a park model mobile in Arizona for cash. Rent is reasonable and we have a place to put all our treasures. We spend the winters in Az anyway so it gives us a couple months out of the coach, allows us the opportunity for annual physicals, dentals etc. and gives me the opportunity to have any annual maintenance done to the coach without worrying about a place to stay. IMHO, best of both worlds......Dennis
