There is no such thing as a "Family Heirloom". There is just stuff your parents had and you like or stuff your parents had and you don't like. There are "antiques" that have actual value and you should sell these for one reason and one reason only....Take the cash! There are other things that have a sentimental value and you should give these to someone who cares as much as you do. Then there is the rest of the stuff (junk). I tried to donate it to my church and even they did not want it. That's the stuff that goes to the dump without a 2nd thought.
