Selling house, changing lifestyle

We sold our home 2800sf on over an acre a month ago and purchased a Mobile Home in a gated community. The mobile is 1100sf, we got rid of tons of stuff. My 4 kids took what they wanted, sold lots on ebay, craigs list and consignment and donated what was left. Although not full timing yet we plan to within the next couple of years, it did not make sense to keep the house with the large expenses it required. At 51(me) and 54(hubby) a lot of friends and family think we are crazy for selling the house and stuff and "settling" for "less". I won't lie it was difficult to let some things go, but I can honestly say so far I have not missed anything. In a couple of years we will either keep the mobile as a home base or do the purge again to go full time. I'm thinking next time will be a breeze! Good luck to you!
