Setting up

Brand new RV’er when i arrive at a site with a Class A MH
Do I
1 level the rig with the stabilizers then deploy the slide out
2 deploy the slide out then level the rig with the stabilizers

Thanks in anticipation of your answers and or discussion

    Every time this subject comes up, it results in an argument over what's best. Follow the coach manufacturers instructions. With our Monaco, it's slides out first and then level.

    In my MH days I leveled, deployed slide and rechecked level.

    On ours it's level then slides out. It's that way on every MH I've ever know except the Holiday Rambler/Monaco twins.

    It may depend on the behavior of your coach. If you level then deploy and that puts it out of level, it may be easier to deploy first.

    Depends on the manufacturer our '06 Tiffin Phaeton manual states to level 1st, I have heard some other brands direct to put out the slides then level.

    I always level first, then slides out myself, but I don't think it matters much unless you are pretty far off level.
