I have a 2005 PW Excel and had the same problem which I solved by fabricating a holder consisting of abs pipe that is long enough to hold the hose and accepts even the end pieces. This was fastened to the underside of the rv adjacent to the spare tire and hose clamped to the frame. I have a Ford and you have a Chevy so things may be a bit different.
