We went from DP to Gas and back to DP. We had the gas unit for 8 years though and it did it's job well. Didn't take any time to get used to a gasser again, per se. But, we just decided a DP was more to our liking, especially since we were going back to a bigger unit. Our Newmar gasser had a well insulated doghouse which kept heat and noise to an acceptable level..much more so than the Fleetwood gassers we had previously that had virtually no insulation under the doghouse. That was one thing that made that gasser easier to adjust to.
About the only thing I guess I never got used to was having the generator in the back again and trying to sleep with it running when we had to have the air on while traveling in hot weather and boondocking in parking lots overnight. I like the generator up front, and the diesels tend to be quieter (I think) anyway.
