shear springs

I have a 98 Thor and I am trying to replace the shear springs on the rear of my leaf spring mounts. Anyone familiar with these? got the first one out but cant get the new one back in.

Depends on what the problem is.

If you can't line it up so that the bolts will go in, start with a longer bolt and let that bolt start to bring the components into alignment. As soon as you can, start one of the "correct" bolts. Remove the long one and replace with correct one.

Only other thing is to use a floor jack or large pry bar.

Also, grind a tapered nose on the long bolt's threaded end to promote the alignment of the holes.
