Being able to hear how your engine is running,isn't always such a bad thing.
Since that doesn't help with what you asked for, I'll also throw in that soundwaves find openings. I would check to make sure you have a good seal around the dog house and the rest of the interior. Remember if these things were really that loud from the factory, no-one would buy them after the first test drive. Check to see if seals are worn or not seating correctly.
