  • Stick with the Bilstein's , you'll be glad you did.
First hand experience with the koni's Don't waste your money on them ...
  • I'm using Koni FSD shocks in the rear of our Class C, but it's only a 24 footer on the stiffer E450 chassis. I'll add FSD shocks in the front soon.

With this weight/chassis combination it's tricky - if not impossible - to get both a soft ride and solid control using standard shocks. With a heavier Class C, one can go with a standard single-action shock and get good enough all around results.

Here's what Koni FSD shocks do:

  • Here also. What a difference in handling and ride. Ours is a 27’ 2008 Four Winds 450 Ford.
  • I will have to go along with others here and recommmend the Bilsteins also they did not make the ride any harsher and stopped the porpoising and the ride is smoother and cornering has lot less body roll.

I have used Bilstein shocks on all my vehicles for many years from E SHOCKS and have been pleased with their performance. Their staff is knowledgeable and helpful and most times have the best prices.
  • Many people have done that. A quick search using "class C only" listed 78 posts in the last year for owners wanting to or did change to Bilsteins. I have a set on order and will have them installed shortly.

  • Added the heavy duty Bilstein's at 33,000 miles on our 2012 E-350 {24'} Class C. They are awesome! Ride and handling improved dramatically and 15K+ miles later they are just a good as the day they were installed.

Spoke extensively with the tech's at Bilstein and the folks at Shock Warehouse and they both recommended the HD's as we run close to oour GVWR most of the time and often tow my Harley.

Be advised that installing the fronts can be a serious PITA {the rears not so much}, I'd recommend having it done.
