Another advantage with our 24' C is the ability to stay in the "Family and friends RV Park". We have been out for 6 weeks with two more to go and more than half our nights have been not only free but gorgeous, often with hook ups. Currently at my cousins 14 beautiful acres, 7 of which are a very private pond with a quarter mile of frontage on the Portage river.
A larger rv would not have fit at many of our stops and with Passport America and our Geezer pass the 30 nights we paid for cost less than $600. We do virtually all of our meals in the coach or with our hosts. I'guessing that the entire 7,500 mile, 60 day trip is going to cost around $4,000 with a little less than $3,000 being fuel.If that estimate holds it will put us at about $66 per day for everything (food, fees, fuel and a whole bunch of fun!). Factor in what an incredible experience it has been and there is simply, for us, no better way to travel.
