I have a Forest River Product, a Lexington 283ts, and am on the Forest River Owners Forum. I'll be honest with you...if you do downsize look at another brand. Forest River products are hit or miss as far as their build quality, and there are numerous, current posts about their lack of quality control and dealers taking care of warrenty problems.
I would look at Nexus Rv or Phoenix Cruiser, as you can actually go to their factory and see your rig being built. My next rig will be from one of these manuf.
You may pay a bit more, but I think the quality will offset the cost.
Personally, I will never buy another Forest River product.
