Shower Door Water Spots

Looking for something that will effectively remove water spots from the glass shower door and help keep them from reforming.

  • I post again for showers: Dishwashing liquid for automatic dishwashers. It's designed to break down all that calcium build-up. Use strong, apply with a cloth, use a scrubbie to scrub, spray off, let dry, then follow up with car paste wax, and squeegie every time you use the shower. It will last for a year before spots start appearing. We do this at home and in the camper. It's been a year since I've done the shower at home.
  • Water spots! Maguires spray on wax or dilute vinegar. Have used both on window water spots and on water spots on my coaches external paint, works great. Once you get them off your shower glass, whatever you use, wipe down after every use! After 10 years, I have never had water spots on my shower glass!
  • I spray down all surfaces of the shower with Clean Shower after each use. Started using it several years ago when it was highly recommended by so many on RV.net. Was happy with the results and have been happy ever since.
  • I had this in a house once and used laundry pre-soak stuff - don't remember what brand to get it removed - took a long time. I read a hint that I've used now that was to use shampoo - a cheap clear one is White Rain. The shampoo cuts thru soap scum very well and leaves the acrylic and glass shining. If you have a build-up, it will probably work, but I don't know how many scrubbings it may take. Then use the squeegee, every times - we do and our shower looks like new.

Once you get them off I can tell you what WILL keep them off.

Albeit a pain sometimes after taking a nice hot relaxing shower you 'have' to squeegee off the inside glass each and every time you shower.

My first MH had permanent water spots from the previous owner. I swear I think that's why I sold it. I couldn't stand looking at it.

The second MH I bought I started diligently squeegeeing the droplets off the inside of the shower every time I used it and years later I do 'not' have one spot on any of the shower glass.

AND and of my RV guests are required to do the same! The squeegee hangs right next to the soap tray!

YUP!!!!!!! Works for us also. Otherwise some of those spots never come off.
