  • You have not told us the type and year of your coach. Many solutions are applicable to specific brands of RV's. For example, this seems to be a pretty common problem with Monaco RV's. The solution, which makes no sense to me but it works, is to put a small accumulator tank right off the water pump. I had tried four different water pumps, even had a surflo engineer look my problem. But, I finally found a service center that recognized the problem right away, installed the accumulator tank, and I have not had any problems since.
  • I had to install a hose clamp on my pump suction line as the pump was sucking air.
  • Check all aerators for clogging and any crud in shower hose

Then check if pump is not working....disconnect pump discharge line......stick it in a gallon bottle and turn on. Should fill gallon jug in about 20-30 seconds if pumping correctly
  • You can remove the pump and flush it out....sometimes they have a screen filter that needs to be cleaned, you can reverse the wireing to run the pump in reverse to see if it spits out any debris (On rare occasions the intake tube in the water tank can clog.)..if all else fails a rebuild kit is available at Camping World to replace the pumps diaphram for $5.00 to $25.00. Easy to do with basic tools. Good luck!
  • Do you have a strainer on the inlet part of your pump? Looks like a bell housing, that could be plugged with fine debris. The pump gets enough water to build up pressure but does not get enough flow to maintain volume
  • Make sure valves are open to all lines. You can try blowing some air through the lines as they have an attachment goes on your city water hose inlet. If that does'nt work, replace the pump and you can unhook the hoses to the pump and hook a line in and out of a bucket and see if it pumps that way before you replace it.
