My question is this. My local Diesel house charges $175 to read the codes. Would a SilverLeaf tell me as much as their diags or Freightliners diags will? I would rather put the $175 toward a Silverleaf which I will have down the road. Reading their specs it sounds like it should but real world experience is golden.....text deleted....

The Silverleaf VMSpc says it will do this. I've been running the VMSpc for about 60,000 miles, but have never had a check engine light or codes to read, so no real world experience. The VMSpc needs a pc for the display. I use an old Windows 2000 touchscreen tablet as a dedicated VMSpc monitor.
