Hi guys,I have a 1995 Fleetwood Bounder and am prepping the roof to do Liquid Roof.I have a skylight over the shower. There is an inner piece and the outer piece on the roof. The outer skylight on the roof has cracked and is brittle. I want to replace it. I found a company online who makes them but not mine. Theirs are more round like a bubble and will not fit over my square inner piece that sticks up out of the hole.Mine is 22 X 24.5 inches.It is square in shape and so is the inner one that comes up out of the roof hole. I was told Fleetwood does not have them anymore. But then I called another RV dealer and he said he could order the set for about $300. Ouch. Any suggestions?Thanks

Thanks Fred,I called them and they don't make my style. On their homepage there is a line of pictures of their skylights. All the way to the right is the ones they don't make. That is what mine looks like. More square shaped, their bubble shaped skylights won't fit over the inner skylight piece sticking up through the roof hole.

I thought the same thing, just get a larger one to go over the inner skylight sticking up.
Two reasons that didn't work.
1st - The hole is close to the side of the roof. Not a lot of room to go bigger.
2nd - The inner skylight sticks up through the hole. It is square in shape with square corners.( see picture). This presents a problem. The after market skylights are more of a bubble shape and would have to be significantly larger to clear the square corner of the old inner skylight. Believe me, I researched it. Once I found out Fleetwood still sells them direct it was a no brainier to buy.

Why not just get a newer outer cover that is larger? Rectangle shaped outer cover would work as you seal the edges anyway. Just my thoughts.

Ordered straight from Fleetwood. Come as a set, inner and outer skylight. $280 bucks.

I had a 5 sided dark tinted one that I wanted to replace with a white translucent one for more light. I was unable to find an exact match, but did order a custom one to my specs from these guys:

AiA Industries

They have various materials, but recommended a polycarbonate for my application and it worked out great. I have no connections other than being a happy customer. Good luck.

I would use your old sky light as a mold and layup a 3-5 ply FG epoxy or polyester one. You would not have to worry about it ever cracking like the old one.

I was told by a local RV store they could order it from Fleetwood but it comes with both the inner and outer for around $300. Expensive!

Have you called Fleetwood to check or are you taking someones word about it I replaced my inner and outer last year and ordered it from fleetwood.I have found that I like orig eqt so I go to fleetwood.

What about going to Tap Plastics and buying either 1/2" or 3/8" sheet of plastic and making your own? I had thought about it but Tiffin had mine in stock. I am on my third one. You will also be able to get the plastic in either white or clear. I thought that I could cut the pieces and then glue and screw the edges together using white or clear silicone to seal it. Just a thought.
