Sleeping Bags, Sheets or ?

My wife and I just bought a class B Pleasure Way Lexor TS. We tried it out on Jekyll Island a couple of weeks ago and slept on the "queen" bed and used sleeping bags as our bedding. We had tried a sheet on the bed but it seemed too hard to make up. We want to try the single beds out by not putting in the center slats but don't know how best to do the bedding. My wife thinks that the sleeping bags will get too dirty on a trip and we will not be able to wash them. Any help from you with experience will help.

    I use a flat sheet sewn into a pocket. Closed at the base, sewn about halfway up one side and only 1/4 on the other. I just throw blankets on top depending on the weather. For colder weather I use the sheet as a liner in a sleeping bag. There are machine washable sleeping bags out there too.

    Do a Google search for TRAVASAK. I did a search and found Camping World sells them. This bedding system is designed to eliminate the problem you have in making the bed. Also do a search on this site and you will find more info. I have a Queen set and LOVE them.

    Guess I'm a bit claustrophobic and am not able to tolerate any type of "bag" while I sleep. Have to be able to get my feet out. We use a fitted sheet and, generally, a comforter or regular sheet. A bit more work to make up, but worth it to me.

    We do sheets also. I just got back from fishing in Canada and took my sleeping bag, never again the darn thing unzipped every time I rolled over and was cold and frozen every morning the cabin was down to about 40F Im packing sheets and blankets next time!!! We have always done sheets and blankets in our camper, it does not take much to run to the laundry mat, we are there washing cloths anyway!

    We have used sheets in every type of RV we have used, as well as the tent.

    I like the fact that I can wash them easily ( we bought some really light but good quality ones) and dry them at our sites quickly.
    We like fresh sheets, only on the be 3 nights at the most then clean ones.

    Another vote for Travasaks if you can find them. We used theme on twin beds in our PW Excel. When rolled up we used them for cushions. They have a summer and winter side and in hot weather we just unrolled them and slept on a folded sheet on top. We tried them in our new Pursuit with a queen size bed but they don't work right so she is using a fitted sheet + a cover sheet. We will save our Travasaks for cold weather camping.

    We use sheets also and quilted comforters to cover with in cool and cold weather.

    We do use our old sleeping bags to sleep on as they give us an extra cushion.

    We don't have a B, but our current favorite travel rig being a very small trailer space considerations are the same.

    We use down sleeping bags with liners. The liner is easy to remove/wash. As for keeping the whole bags clean:
    Space being at a premium, we stuff the down bags into "body pillow" cases and use them for dinette backrest pillows during the day. Makes 'em dual purpose, lets the down breathe well, and keeps them clean, too!
