I had the same issues. My slide rubbed against my carpet and even though I made adjustments to left it a bit, it still slid against the carpet. At the same time it was wearing the material on the bottom of the slide.
A friend bought a new TT with the same floor plan and slide but his slide system utilized rollers mounted in the floor.
So I installed rollers in the floor (actauly 1200# metal conveyor rollers) that hold my slide up just a bit as it comes in. When the slide is all the way in, it sits on these rollers so I installed a metal plate under the slide for the rollers to rest against.
The slide just barely touches the carpet now and it rolls in and out super easy.
