Slide stuck in out position

The slide on my Gulfstream is stuck in the out position. The motor runs but nothing moves. Can I fix this myself or should I call someone who know what they are doing?

Bob
  • If the motor is running perhaps you have a missing/broken sheer pen that connects the drive rod to the slide frame...Very easy to determine if you can see from the underside, if the bottom is open

Is this a Super C with hydraulic slides?
  • Have you tried the manual retract.

Should be a spot on the opposite side of your trailer where you can access the mechanism. The factory should have provided the tool to operate it in one of your storage compartments.

Our TT was under the master bed but in our FW it is mounted to the wall in the Passthru storage.

Usually the area that has the crank shaft to bring it back is marked, not very clearly but some type of marking is there.
