We ended up replacing the motor for the slide. It was a bear getting it ordered from Lippert, but we got it....$600 later.....and installed it ourselves. That seems to have fixed the problem; slide comes in now with no hesitation. I'm going to hold off replacing the batteries until it's obvious they need to be.
