A favorite spot of ours has a couple big swim pools. As you may know, most older people do not swim, they stand and visit, and they do not like swimmers disturbing them. The resort recognized this problem, and designated one section as a swim area.. complete with painted lanes. Folks still congregate there and talk, and to do any lap swimming you often have to force your way through them a couple times before they realize they're in a swim area.
Go figure.
