A favorite spot of ours has a couple big swim pools. As you may know, most older people do not swim, they stand and visit, and they do not like swimmers disturbing them. The resort recognized this problem, and designated one section as a swim area.. complete with painted lanes. Folks still congregate there and talk, and to do any lap swimming you often have to force your way through them a couple times before they realize they're in a swim area.
This was hilarious!
FYI, when talking to offline friends I refer to rv.net as 'the old farts forum where I hang out'. But I say good things about you old farts :). Just today I was telling my dad how people come in and ask the most obscure questions, not necessarily about rv's, and in 5 minutes someone will pipe up with, 'I worked in that industry for 50 years and here's what you need to know.' This place is goldmine of expert knowledge. Heck, maybe that swimming pool is, too.
